Directions

Add:

  • 70g butter
  • 150ml warm water
  • 40g powdered sugar (optional)

Directions:

  1. Heat the oven to 400°
  2. Mix the yeast package with warm water and stir until the yeast loosens up.
  3. Add the baking mix and 30g butter to the yeast. Beat for 1 minute on lowest setting, and then 3 more minutes on the middle setting.
  4. Knead by hand until the dough is smooth. This can take a few minutes. The dough is ready when a thin strip can be pealed off.
  5. Let the dough rise for 10 minutes.
  6. Mix the cinnamon sugar with 40g of butter until smooth.
  7. Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface. Roll out the dough to about a 20cm x 40cm rectangle.
  8. Evenly spread the cinnamon sugar on the dough, leaving a 2cm margin around the edge. Lightly make wet the margins with water.
  9. Roll the dough, as tightly as possible, so you have a roll of 20cm.
  10. Slice the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  11. Place on parchment paper lined baking tray. Press each dough piece down to about 7cm.
  12. Allow to rise for at least 40 minutes at room temperature.
  13. Bake for 15 minutes.
  14. If using glaze, mix 3 tablespoons water with powdered sugar. It should have the consistency of yogurt. Drizzle over the buns.
