ADD:

• 1 package Koopmans Fijne cake
• 150g butter or margarine
• 4 medium eggs 
• 50ml milk, room temperature
• 30cm cake pan

DIRECTIONS:

• Pre-heat oven to 325° (F), and place rack in the middle.
• Grease the pan with butter, dusting with flour, or use cooking spray.
• Beat the butter or margarine until soft and creamy.
• Add the cake mix, milk and eggs.
• Mix on low speed for 1 minute.
• Mix on high for 2 minutes.
• Bake for 60-70 minutes, until golden brown, and knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
• Cool for 10 minutes.
• Remove cake from pan and allow to cool for at least an hour.

TIPS & VARIATIONS:

• Mix 3 tbs speculaas spices, 2 tbs instant coffee, 2 tbs lemon juice or 4 tsp rum flavouring in with the batter.
• Top cake with a glaze.
